Uyi joined KNG in 2025 to set up and co-head the Africa credit trading business.

He has over a decade of Emerging Markets experience working in London, Lagos and Madrid in various roles including Strategy, Treasury and Credit. Prior to KNG, Uyi worked at BCP Securities SV SA trading Africa foreign currency debt - focused on Nigeria, Ghana, Angola and Kenya – with both onshore and offshore institutional investors.

Uyi started his career at FirstBank UK Limited – the London office of Nigeria’s oldest bank in the Treasury department focused on FX and liquidity management before helping set up FBN Markets which at the time was a key liquidity provider to onshore West African clients.

 

He holds a BSc in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc from University College London.
